Frequently asked questions

How long does the course take? This mini course will take between one and two hours to complete depending on how much you follow the links to the recommended further reading, viewing and listening. 

Do I need to purchase a copy of Learn, Enjoy, Flow and Grow to take this course? No, there is no requirement to purchase a copy of the book but you will find the content of the book compliments the topics covered and explores these areas more deeply. And the book itself has lots of links to other sources and a comprehensive references section for each chapter. 

Does it matter if I buy the physical book or the ebook? Both print and ebook versions of the book are exactly the same. The only difference is that the ePub version (Apple, Kobo, Nook etc.) has a hyperlinked index whereas the MOBI version (Amazon Kindle) does not. 

Do you provide transcripts for the video presentations? The video presentations in this particular course are all screencasts (video presentation of the power point slides) so there is no transcript however, the slides are made available for download as a reminder of the material covered.

Do you run any interactive Zoom discussions? Yes, we run monthly Zoom sessions for anyone participating on (or who has completed) any of the courses offered by the Parallel Dreams Coaching Academy (PDCA). If you have not been contacted about these then contact us for further info on [email protected] 

How much do the monthly Zoom sessions cost? There is no charge for the monthly Zoom sessions as they are offered to current and past students of the PDCA as a way of deepening your knowledge of the subjects covered and as a way of interacting with the Academy instructors and other people with similar interests. 

Is this course recognised as Continued Professional Development (CPD)? No, the mini courses are not officially recognised for CPD but the Parallel Dreams Coaching Academy are a registered provider with The CPD Accreditation Group number: 778255 and the four full online courses are recognised as CPD. 

Do any other organisations recognise this course for CPD credit? No, but the four full online courses are recognised by the British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI), Snowsport Scotland (SSS) and the Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (IASI) as external CPD credit for one day for each of the courses.
